What Our Guest Experience & Hosted Itinerary Service Provides
Sarah works directly with PRL’s nominated contact and visiting guests to manage visitor liaison and experience delivery, including:
Understanding PRL objectives as well as guest interests, abilities and limitations through a short guest questionnaire, guiding itinerary design and activity selection
Designing personalised half-day, full-day or multi-day itineraries
Coordinating bookings with local operators and venues
Hosting and guiding guests throughout their island experience
Managing timing, logistics and on ground communication
Adapting plans in real time for weather or operational changes
Coordinating with PRL to ensure meeting schedules, mine site visits and operational tours are incorporated where required
Providing itineraries, day sheets and contact details to relevant staff and guests

Vehicle & Transport
PRL to provide insured vehicle(s) and drivers for guest transport as required
Where appropriate, Sarah may drive PRL provided vehicles subject to PRL approval and confirmation of licence and insurance requirements
For larger guest groups requiring multiple vehicles, PRL will provide additional drivers, while Sarah focuses on hosting, guiding and coordinating the guest experience

This service is designed to integrate seamlessly with PRL’s operational environment, providing flexible and reliable guest hosting support as required. Engagement can be tailored to each visit, from a single hosted day to multi-day programs or VIP hosting, ensuring visiting guests are professionally hosted while minimising additional planning and workload for PRL teams.

Salted brings over 22 years of experience in tourism, tour guiding and customer service, supported by a strong background in destination logistics, event planning, project management and visitor experience design.
This experience underpins the delivery of well structured, ability appropriate itineraries, smooth on ground coordination and professionally hosted guest experiences. PRL benefits from a service that is operationally reliable, safety conscious and attentive to detail, ensuring visiting guests are welcomed, well supported and confidently guided throughout their time on Christmas Island.

Bookings are confirmed subject to availability. A minimum of one month’s notice is preferred to allow appropriate guest liaison and itinerary planning.
Requests made within two weeks of the proposed hosted experience may be accommodated where possible and will incur a rush planning fee.

Activity, meal and third-party operator costs are charged directly to PRL or guests, as preferred. Salted provides liaison, management and coordination of activities.
Salted’s Guest Experience & Hosted Itinerary Service is invoiced directly by Salted and payable on 14-day payment terms.

Salted designs conservative, ability appropriate itineraries and coordinates exclusively with reputable, licensed operators. Activity operators retain responsibility for operational safety and supervision during delivery of their services.
Salted holds $20 million public liability insurance and ensures relevant participant waivers are completed prior to all activities.

Minor adjustments can be accommodated where possible. Significant changes may incur additional planning fees.

Alternative experiences and contingency plans are prepared in advance to maintain guest experience continuity where possible. Salted has extensive experience in adapting to the ever changing conditions of Christmas Island.

To ensure availability and preparation of tailored guest experiences, bookings are confirmed on itinerary acceptance by PRL.
Cancellation terms:
Cancellations more than 14 days prior to the scheduled hosted experience incur no charge
Cancellations within 14 to 7 days incur 50% of the hosted experience fee
Cancellations within 7 days incur 100% of the hosted experience fee
Where external operator bookings or third party costs have already been committed, those costs remain payable.
In the event of cancellation due to severe weather or operational site restrictions, Salted will work with PRL to reschedule where possible, or apply fees to a future booking at PRL’s discretion.
Service fees
Salted’s Guest Experience & Hosted Itinerary Service is offered on a per-engagement basis,
providing PRL with flexible access to professional guest hosting support as required.
Full-Day Hosted Experience (up to 8 hours)
