Our inflatable SUPs are lightweight, portable, and come with a 3-piece paddle that adjusts to the rider's height. This perfect setup allows you to get on the water quickly and make the most of Christmas Island's incredible waters. Stand Up Paddleboarding is for all fitness and skill levels, from beginners to advanced paddlers. Our SUPs feature soft foam padding on the top deck, making them safe and easy to grip with your feet.
Paddleboarding at Flying Fish Cove is suitable for all fitness levels and offers an amazing way to see the breathtaking scenery. The calm waters (seasonally) provide an ideal venue for learning and enjoying the fantastic waters. SUP use is strictly restricted to Flying Fish Cove to ensure safety of all hirers.
Christmas Island SUP Hire rates:
- $100 Day Hire
- $180 Two Day Hire
- $400 Week Hire, allowing you to enjoy sunrise to sunset paddles whenever conditions are ideal between your other Christmas Island adventures. ($57 a day for 7 day hire)

A comprehensive safety briefing is given before you enter the water.
Once briefed, you're ready to hit the water and start your adventure!
For your SUP hire, we will meet you at Flying Fish Cove and ensure you're all set to go.
Life jackets are available (additional cost)
Due to our limited number of paddle boards, it is best to book as early as possible to secure your spot.

Ocean Safety & Respecting the Reef
Your safety, and the reef’s, is our priority. Before heading out, we’ll brief you on local conditions and the safest places to paddle based on tides and weather.
Here are a few key things to keep in mind during your SUP hire:
Check the Tide: At low tide, reef structures may be exposed just below the surface. Always paddle with awareness and avoid standing or stepping on coral, it’s sharp, fragile, and alive.
Avoid the Drop-Off: While the drop-off looks tempting, currents can be stronger here. Stay close to the shoreline, especially if you’re new to paddleboarding.
Resting on the Beach? Pull Your Board Up
If you stop to rest, please pull your board fully up onto the sand. Avoid letting it bang or drag on rocks or coral, as this can damage the reef and the board.Weather Can Shift: Conditions can change quickly. If the wind picks up or you’re unsure, return to shore and check in with us.
Respect the Ocean Life: You may spot turtles, reef sharks, or curious fish — enjoy the moment, but always give marine life space.
SUP hire is only permitted in safe conditions, and if conditions change, we may advise delaying or rescheduling your paddle. We're here to help you make the most of it, safely and sustainably.
